Veeam Microsoft 365 Restore Portal
- Log in to the Veeam Portal.
- In the left menu, click Protected Data.
- Open the Microsoft 365 Objects tab.
- Select a User or a Site and click Restore Portal. Log in using your organization credentials.

You can request for one or more users in your organization to be assigned as Restore Operators.
Explore Tab
The Explore tab contains the navigation Panel and the preview Panel.
Navigation Panel
The navigation Panel allows you to:
- Select an object to manage (available if you are a Restore Operator).
- Select a restore point from which you want to explore and restore data backed up by Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365.
Preview Panel
The preview Panel displays details about the items contained in the folder selected in the navigation Panel.
Restore Sessions Tab
In this tab, you can view details about restore session progress and results.
You can:
- Stop a restore session.
- Search and filter restore sessions by type, status, and time period.
- View a list of events that occurred during a restore session, and search or filter events by status.
Starting a Restore Session
- Select a restore point from which you want to explore and restore data.
- Select the folder that contains the data you want to restore.
- Click Restore.
2. Items Selection
At the Items step:
- Select the items you want to restore.
- To remove an item from the restore list, select it and click Remove.
3. Restore Mode
Choose where you want to restore the selected items:
- Restore to the original location Restores all selected items to their original path.
- Restore to a new location Restores items to another location. Specify the folder name in the Restore to the following folder field. If the folder does not exist, it will be created automatically.
4. Advanced Options
Click Advanced options to open the Restore Options dialog.
In this dialog, you may enable any of the following:
- Restore changed items Restores items that have been modified.
- Restore missing items Restores items that are missing from the target folder.
- Mark restored items as unread Marks each restored item as unread after the restore operation.
Once you start the restore, Restore Portal immediately executes the operation and opens the Restore Sessions tab, where you can monitor progress and view results.
